[post_content] => Hi everyone,
Meet Morpheus, A 10 year old Bredli Python that we rescued 2 years ago from a neglectful owner, for the purpose of rehab and rehome when he was ready.
He now feeds fantastically every time, currently eating XL rats every 5 weeks or so (has been on a long term diet to get him back into proper condition) He will take straight from tongs or will hunt the food if left elsewhere in the enclosure, have never had to use a hook to get him out, overall he's a pretty chill snake now. he is still getting used to regular handling so he can be a bit nervous sometimes when first retrieved from the enclosure, but he quickly settles and is very happy to explore. loves getting out on the grass for a stretch and has generally been a delight. He is well hydrated and both poops and sheds very well now also.
He has been tested twice for both Nido and Sunshine viruses after we rescued him, both times returning a negative result. all our other snakes have also tested negative to both.
I don't really want to let him go but it has always been the plan to move him on to his forever home where he will be much loved and cared for. he is roughly 2.2m long nose to tail tip
We will also sell the enclosure he is currently in for an extra $600, as it was hand made by myself to include a heat tile, drop down high hide for easy removal and easy access doors for getting him in and out, plus all the enrichment plants and logs if you don't have somewhere of an adequate size for him to go.
